Located in Point Grey, this full residential renovation transformed a dated 1950s Vancouver Special into a calm, light-filled family home designed for modern living. Andrea Rodman Interiors led the full-service interior design for the renovation, reimagining both the interior and exterior of the residence to create a cohesive and timeless result.
Designed for a prominent Vancouver radio host and his family, the home reflects an inviting and social way of living, with a strong emphasis on flow, connectivity, and livability. The renovation focused on opening the home to natural light while strengthening the relationship between interior and exterior spaces.
A new roof deck and expanded outdoor areas extend seamlessly from the central living spaces, supporting an active family lifestyle and creating multiple areas for gathering and entertaining. Framed by views of the North Shore Mountains and the Vancouver skyline, the home feels both open and grounded within its urban setting.
The interiors are defined by a restrained and enduring material palette, combining soft neutral tones with warm textures to create a calm and timeless atmosphere. Throughout the renovation, the design approach balanced simplicity with comfort, resulting in a home that feels refined, highly functional, and deeply personal to the family who lives there.
This Point Grey renovation reflects Andrea Rodman Interiors’ approach to creating highly considered residential interiors across Vancouver and beyond, where architecture, interiors, and daily living are thoughtfully connected.
