Located in Vancouver’s Kerrisdale neighbourhood, this custom family home was designed as a modern and highly livable residence grounded in simplicity, warmth, and thoughtful functionality. Andrea Rodman Interiors led the full-service interior design for the new build, creating a refined environment influenced by Japanese design principles, soft minimalism, and Japandi interiors.

Inspired by the warmth of maple wood tones and the understated elegance of minimal living, the home balances soft neutral finishes with subtle black accents, creating contrast and continuity throughout the residence. Natural stone, integrated millwork, and carefully layered textures contribute to a restrained and highly cohesive architectural language.

Drawing from both Scandinavian and Japanese influences, the interiors embrace a softer approach to minimalism—prioritizing warmth, natural materials, and everyday livability. The result is a home that feels serene and highly functional while maintaining a refined contemporary atmosphere.
