Our Tovey Cres renovation encompasses a seamlessly integrated kitchen, a concealed appliance garage, and expansive living and entertaining spaces, promoting openness and flexibility. Nestled in sunny Victoria, B.C., this Tudor-style cottage adeptly merges traditional English architecture with contemporary elements.

To honor the property's rich history and stunning coastal surroundings, we set out to harmonize simplicity and warmth. The cottage graces the waters of a private bay in Victoria, showcasing breathtaking views while radiating the charm of traditional architecture. Our mission was to infuse the interiors with space, elegance, and rejuvenation, employing natural light, warm wood tones, and sleek lines.

This residence holds a personal significance, as it's the place where my husband spent his childhood, and we frequently visit during trips to Victoria to reconnect with family and friends. Motivated by our family's aspiration for a modern open-concept layout, we embarked on revitalizing their home. 

The layout underwent a thoughtful redesign to seamlessly unite the living, dining, and kitchen spaces, creating an ideal setting for large family gatherings. French doors were incorporated to enhance natural light and establish a profound connection with the picturesque surroundings, leading to a dining terrace that unveils panoramic vistas of the Juan de Fuca Strait.
